Terrifico is built to be light: one stylesheet, one small script, no jQuery on the front end, and no requests to other servers unless you choose them.

Fonts

When you choose a Google Font under Customize → Global → Typography and save, the theme downloads that font once into your uploads folder and serves it from your own site. Visitors’ browsers never contact Google, and no cookie consent is needed for fonts. If you prefer, switch to loading fonts from Google under Global → Performance. The default system font loads nothing.

What the theme loads

• CSS and JavaScript files carry a version that changes whenever the file changes, so browsers and hosts never serve an old copy after an update.
• The hero only loads its slideshow or video code when you use them. A YouTube hero background loads YouTube’s player, which sets YouTube’s own cookies.
• Terrifico Pro adds one small stylesheet for its front-end features. Modules you switch off under Terrifico → Settings don’t run at all.

Privacy

The theme and the plugin collect no data and add no tracking. Terrifico Pro contacts our store only to check your license, list and download demos and templates, and offer updates; it sends your site address and license key, nothing about your visitors.

Caching plugins

Terrifico works with page-cache plugins such as LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket and W3 Total Cache. After changing settings in the Customizer, purge the page cache so visitors see the change.
